A putative hybrid between H. cauticola and H. erythrostictum, with intermediate characteristics.

 

Section Hylotelephium / Sieboldia.

 

Distribution : Japan (cultivated).

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Flowering stems procumbent or decumbent, to 50 cm.

 

Leaves usually opposite, with 5 - 10 mm long petiole, lamina broadly oblong or broadly ovate, 2 - 4 x 1.5 - 3 cm, upper face pale green, tip rounded, base rounded to shortly attenuate, margins crenate with 6 - 8 teeth on each side.

 

Inflorescences terminal.

 

Flowers pedicellate, sepals triangular to triangular-ovate, ± 1.7 mm, petals lanceolate, rose, 5.5 - 6 mm, stamens shorter than the petals, anthers dark purple.
