Kalanchoe coccinea  Welwitsch, 1871

Figueiredo & Smith, Friedrich Welwitsch and his overlooked contributions to the Flora of Tropical Africa, Phytotaxa 458(1): 83-100, 2020, discuss at length the specimens referring to Kalanchoe coccinea Welwitsch and end up with designating BM649705 as lectotype. However they err. According to Murray, 1904, the types of all species collected by Welwitsch, listed in Hiern's Catalogue of 1896, are at BM. So there is no question that BM649705 is the holotype and not a lectotype.
