Kalanchoe

x gildenhuysii   Gideon F.Sm. & Figueiredo, 2020

Parentage : Kalanchoe millotii x K. tomentosa.

 

The hybrid is intermediate between its parents.

It differs from K. millotii by

- its leaves being more lanceolate, rather than obovate to orbicular, basally cuneate rather than truncate and with brown-tipped teeth on the leaf margins and

- by a pink-infused corolla.

It differs from K. tomentosa by

- having broader leaves with distinctly toothed margin and

- smaller and less colourful flowers.

 

K. x gildenhuysii is a small to medium-sized plant, flowering from early-winter to spring in the southern hemisphere.
