Distribution : Central and eastern Mediterranean region (Italy including Sardinia and Sicily, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece including Crete, Turkey).

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Stolons usually filiform, (5-) 10 - 30 cm.

 

Inflorescences often dense, few-flowered.

 

FIowers large.

 

Cytology: 2n = 48, 72, 96
