Description :

 

Perennial, glabrous herb, with brownish spots.

 

Stems succulent, simple, erect, 8-10 cm high, rooting at nodes.

 

Leaves dimorphic, in lower part alternate, elliptic or obovate, 2-4 x 1-2.5 mm, apex obtuse, base slightly attenuate, almost not spurred, leaves in upper part linear, 6-25 x 1-1.5 mm, apex obtuse, base attenuate, shortly spurred.

 

Flowers 5-merous, terminal, single, sessile, sepals triangular-ovate or narrowly ovate, unequal, 1.5-2.5 mm long, apex obtuse or acute, base shortly spurred, petals yellow, lanceolate, 5-6 x 1.5-2 mm, apex acuminate, filaments ca 3 mm long, anthers blackish, squamae obtusely quadrangular, small, almost invisible, carpels lanceolate, 3.5-4 mm long, follicles stellately-divergent, seeds small.

 

Flowering and fruiting time July - August.

 

Similar to S. leptophyllum Fröderström.
