Parentage : Sempervivum montanum x S. tectorum.
Distribution : Pyrenees, western and central Alps, Tosco-Emilian apennines.
Description (according to Praeger, 1932) :
Intermediate between the parents, generally resembling a small S. tectorum, but with the rosettes denser and the leaves more or less glandular-hairy and without a purple tip ; flower-stems shorter, inflorescence smaller, flowers of a purer purple than those of tectorum, petals more tapering. Other forms are nearer S. montanum.
